Bitter Sweet

Sometimes life throws you something so unexpected - it actually is a dream come true. You wonder: what you did right to deserve it. A close friend of mine took the trouble to surprise me - she crossed two countries just to see me - 24 hour bus ride!(She really went through a lot of trouble) What ensued was three days of being on a high, then when she left, you guessed it, on a low.
Interestingly, the low was not because of her departure, life threw me something else, not so unexpected, but it was a sudden cruel blow and I am still trying to come to terms with it.

Funny how one moment you could be literally having the time of your life and the next your horribly crestfallen.

So last week was Bitter Sweet, actually Sweet Bitter. In that order.

So the lesson, when you are happy and you feel life is good, enjoy, feel every moment, take it in and just savour it, you never know when life will bring an abrupt end to it.
